The Siervas de San Jose, led by Sr. Minerva, the Link Person to the Women and Gender Commission of the Holy Family Province, participated in the WGC activity entitled “ WOMEN LEADERSHIP TRAINING AGAINST VIOLENCE AND POVERTY“  held on March 1-2 at the old IFRS Building.  With her were Srs. Elizabeth and Maripaz, women groups from Mandaluyong City, and Teachers’ Village West, Quezon City. Other participating groups were from Tandang Sora, Quezon City, accompanied by the Carmelite Missionaries and the Urban Missionaries, and from Valenzuela City.

The Seminar-Workshop is the first of a year-long formation series for urban women, aimed at orienting women in their situation, educating them in the feminist perspective and the women in the Bible, giving women a wholistic perspective of their role in the community and capacitating them to think and observe their environment, respond to their needs and celebrate.
