Vocation Awareness Activity in Adamson University

On January 23, 2013 the Novices participated in the Vocation Awareness Week at Adamson University with the theme: “GOD’S CALL CENTER FAIR. I have called you each by name, come, follow me”. Maria of the Butina Community and Gene of the KNL Community sat in the panel to represent the SSJ Congregation. With them were participants from other Congregations who were part of the 18 different male and female Congregations present.

The activity, attended by the University and High School students and the Campus Minister, started at 2:00 PM in the Adamson Chapel. The University Chaplain, Fr. Ralph Joseph Rodriguez, showed his support by being present during whole duration of the activity.  Each Congregation was warmly welcomed and each representative was given an opportunity to introduce her/his respective Congregation, its mission and its charism.  Fr. Richie Gomez, MSC, gave the vocation talk in general, explaining the three specific vocations to the students. Part of the activity was a spontaneous interaction with students through their questions,  which the panel answered. The activity ended at 5:15 PM, with the Novices having encounter with some college students whom they invited to the forthcoming Life Direction Session in Mandaluyong City.
