March 19, 2013

In the sunny morning of March 19, 2013, solemnity of St. Joseph, Patron of the Universal Church, Spouse of Mary and the Foster Father Jesus, at exactly 11:00, a crowd of 170 persons including the Siervas de San Jose sisters, the Prenovices and Novices, the Lay Josephines,  Talleres de Nazaret Co-Workers from Mandaluyong and Quezon City, family members, friends and benefactors, joyfully gathered in one happy, festive but solemn Eucharistic Celebration on the occasion of the Silver Jubilee of the Religious Profession of Sr. Lucrecia Camiring, SSJ, fondly called Sr. Lucy.   Like a radiant bride, Sr. Lucy marched with joy and dignity, along the aisle of the Holy Family School Chapel, with Sr. Milagros Maravilla, SSJ, the Provincial Coordinator of the SSJ – Holy Family Province, and the Mass Presider Rev. Fr. Eli Cruz, SDB, Provincial Superior of the Salesian Fathers.

The liturgy, with the Siervas de San Jose and the Formands serving as Choir, was a fitting celebration for the 25 silver years Sr. Lucy offered in loving service to her spouse, Jesus in Nazareth.  The homily delivered by Fr. Eli was inspiring and challenging, as it was meaningful and entertainingly enlightening.  The message of thanks by Sr. Lucy was likewise inspiring and touching.

Adding meaning to the event was the celebration of the birthday of Sr. Josefa Azarcon,  SSJ.  The event being a ‘reunion’ of St. Joseph’s devotees and children, was enhanced by a family bonding at table during lunch.  Praise and thanks to God for the gift of His call, His choice and His love and fidelity!  Thank you, Sr. Lucy for being a living and lively witness of the joy of being in his service, together with our Co-Workers and Co-Sojourners in the following of Jesus!
